DR. FRANCIS ABOAGYE-OTCHERE

BOARD CHAIRMAN
Francis is a senior lecturer in Accounting at the University of Ghana where he has worked for more than nineteen years. He has held various positions in the University including Head of Department, Coordinator and Faculty Examinations Officer. Prior to working at the University, he worked in the private sector with Kwame Asante & Associates, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants (representing Arthur Andersen in Ghana) and Delloite & Touche Consulting. During this period, Francis had extensive experience in organisational and financial restructuring, design, redesign and improvement of business processes. He has been the leader or key member of teams that have restructured, conducted financial valuation and developed corporate and business plans for a number of institutions both in the private and public sectors. Francis chairs the board of Sefwiman Rural Bank, is a Member of the Governing Council of University of Mines and Technology and was a Member of the Technical Advisory Group, Improved Business Practice (A DANIDA funded Project). As an academic, his research interests include: Corporate Governance and Firm Performance; Accounting Information Systems and Data Quality; Emotional Intelligence and Performance and Corporate Social Responsibility. He was elected to the Board of SRB on 29th December, 2007 and has been the Chairman since 2009.

MISS OLIVIA NYARKOA KYEH
(LLB)

Olivia is a young dedicated and versatile lawyer with three years’ experience in the Legal practice and aims at becoming a leading voice in her chosen profession.
She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in June, 2009. While on campus, she held a leadership position as the Deputy Secretary of the Association of Sefwi Students.
After successfully completing her Bachelor of Laws Degree, she worked as a National Service person at the Ministry of Justice and Attorney Generals’ Department as a paralegal officer from October 2009 to July 2010.
In October 2012, she pursued her Professional Law Course at the Ghana School of Law and was called to the Ghana Bar in June 2012.
Miss Kyeh undertook her pupillage at Akufo- Addo, Prempeh & Co, a renowned and established Law firm in Ghana from October 2012 to July 2014. She later joined Best Point Savings and Loan Ltd as the Lawyer and Company Secretary in August 2014 where she single handedly established the legal department.
She was elected a Board Member of the Sefwiman Rural Bank Limited in August, 2014 and continues to serve diligently on the Board by bringing to bare her rich experience.
She is currently a Lawyer at Sahel Sahara Bank Ltd.
She has over the years acquired work experience in varied areas of legal practice including litigation experience in Banking and Finance Law, Company and Corporate Law, Labour Law, Family Law and Criminal Law.
She is very focused, zealous and always aspires to attain the ultimate goal in her career and personal development.


MR. AARON KWABENA NKUAH
(M’Ed Guidance and Counselling, B’Ed Education)

Aaron holds Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Cape Coast. Prior to his masters he obtained Bachelor of Education at the University of Education, Winneba (2008).
Aaron is an educationist with fifteen years working experience with the Ghana Education Service serving in various capacities as teacher, planning officer, examination officer, and currently he is the Supervisor of second cycle institutions in Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
Aaron was elected as Board Member to serve on the Board of Sefwiman Rural Bank on 27th July, 2013.
He is also an Elder at the Church of Pentecost, Bibiani Central.
Aaron is sociable, team player and hardworking with a high sense of initiative and innovation, good communication and inter-personal skills. He is also a high-minded person with a drive for goals.

MR. ISAAC NKRUMAH
MEMBER
Isaac Nkrumah is an Educational Administrator who holds a master degree in Educational Administration and Leadership.
He is currently working in the education ministry as the Regional Coordinator for the Free SHS programme in the Western North Region.
Mr. Nkrumah has gone through a lot of short courses in banking and that has given him some rich experience in the field of Rural and community banking.
He is currently serving on the HR and the Credit committees of the board.

sTEPHEN KINGSLEY BENNIEH
(LLB)

Stephen Kingsley Bennieh is a trained Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana from the Ghana School of Law. He was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class Honours from KAAF University College, Accra. He was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2020. After his Call to the Bar, he now works as an Associate Lawyer at Dankwah & Associates (Divine Chambers) at Adabraka, Accra. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at KAAF University College.
He was appointed a director on 20th May, 2021.

PROFESSOR PETER A. KWAKU KYEM
(Ph.D., MA. BA. & GIS Professional Certificate)

Peter is an Emeritus Geography Professor at Central Connecticut State University, (CCSU) in New Britain, Connecticut, USA, where he taught and conducted research for over 26 years before returning home in July 2021. Prof. Kyem held various positions at the University, including Chair (Head) of the Geography Department, member of the University’s Faculty Senate and the University Curriculum Committee, Chairman of the University Graduate Scholarship and the Environmental and Public Safety Committees, Chair of Faculty Evaluation Committee and served many years as Geography Department’s Graduate Advisor. He has, and still serve on the Board of Reviewers of several International Journals and Grant Awarding Institutions.
As a scholar, Professor Kyem’s research focuses on Conflict Management, Participatory Mapping and Participatory GIS Applications in Natural Resources Management, Remote Sensing and GIS Applications in Land Use/ Land Use and Climate Change, E-government, and ICT and Economic Development in Africa. Prof. Kyem is the author of “Managing Natural Resource Conflicts with Participatory Mapping and PGIS Applications, published in August 2021 by Springer/Nature, New York, NY, USA. In addition, Peter has made many conference presentations and published several research articles. His publications appear in reputable international peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the International Society of Participatory Mapping (ISPM) and an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the International Journal of Participatory Mapping (IJPM).
Professor Kyem was appointed a Board Member of Sefwiman Rural Bank Ltd on December 1st 2022. He serves on the Audit, Risk, Compliance & Finance Committees and the Committee on Human Resources.

DR. ELLIS KOFI AKWAA-SEKYI

Ellis holds a Ph.D. in Law and Business Administration (Banking and Finance) from the University of Lleida, Spain. He has several research articles and publications to his credit. He has extensive knowledge in Banking and Finance, Microfinance, Business Administration, Accounting and Mathematics. He has over 25years teaching experience at various levels. He worked in various Universities in Ghana and abroad and he is currently a Lecturer at the KNUST Business School. He is also a certified GHAMFIN trainer and has been in the microfinance industry for about 10 years. He serves on the Board as Chairman of the Audit, Risk, Finance and Compliance Committee.
